Liu Kang became the ultimate hero of the MK history. Kang first made his debut in MK1, then later was killed, here is the storyline.

Pre-Mortal KombatEdit

Liu Kang was taught by shaolin masters and was also taught the famous "flying kick" by Bo' Rai Cho. After the Great Kung Lao died. Liu Kang passed on the name.

Mortal KombatEdit

Kang entered the Mortal Kombat tournament to fulfil his destiny as champion of Mortal Kombat. He suceeded in aiding friends such as Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade. And in doing so, he suceeded in defeating Shang Tsung. Now Kang has earned the title to protect Earthrealm. It is said how Kang won was performing the flying kick and Shang Tsung fell.

Mortal Kombat IIEdit

Later, Kang returned home, only to see his fellow members of the White Lotus Society slain by the Tarkatan horde. Enraged, Kang go's to Outworld. He created a force with the younger Sub-Zero, Raiden, Smoke who wanted to seek revenge, Kung Lao, who was his spiritual brother.

Johnny Cage and a new-comer named Jax also agreed to help aid the others to Outworld. At the tournament, Kung Lao met Kitana, and Liu Kang fell in love with her. Liu Kang is known to take the final battle. He fights Shang Tsung, Kintaro, and Shao Kahn. After overpowering the emperor. Kang defeats him and all of them return to Earthrealm.

Mortal Kombat 3Edit

After Liu Kang and Kung Lao return home, they both begin a new generation of shaolin warriors. But it was short-lived when another invasion of Shao Kahn's [[extermination squads]] begin again. Kang found himself as the primary target. The team was assembled again, only there were new warriors in the battle, such as Kurtis Stryker, Kabal, and Nightwolf. Kung Lao challenges the emperor, but was possibly beated to death. Liu Kang becomes enraged and challenges the emperor, Liu Kang wins, due to his anger of Kung Lao's death. After Earth has returned to normal, Kang is greeted by saving the Earth and Outworld.
